Play as a night shift security guard

Five Nights at Candy's custom night is a free game that lets you play as Mary Schmidt, a security guard at Candy's Burgers and Fries. From 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., you have to monitor the security cameras while managing power and preventing the animatronics from ending your poor life.

Unlike the main Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) games, Five Nights at Candy's custom night includes a third door and a night vision system for the cameras—keeping the gameplay fresh for veteran players. However, this is not for the faint of heart as it contains jumpscares.

New mechanics and animatronics

If you can’t get enough of the FNAF franchise, you should check out Five Nights at Candy's custom night. Here, you'll encounter new animatronics such as Candy, Cindy, Chester, Penguin, Old Candy, Blank, and Rat—all of which you need to watch out for using the security cameras in your office and employ countermeasures to keep them out of your office for six nights.

There are three doors in the office: left, right, and middle—with the latter being similar to a storm shutter door—and each one features a battery system. When a door’s battery is filled up with flashing red bars, for example, it means you’ll run out of power faster. Hence, the trick here is to open or close the doors strategically to prevent the animatronics from attacking you.

The game also lets you take advantage of night vision so you can clearly see if an animatronic is lurking in an area or not, making the experience more bone-chilling. Additionally, it has a custom night mode where you can increase or decrease the difficulty of an animatronic’s AI—with zero and 20 being the lowest and highest, respectively. Conversely, you can tap “7/20” to set the difficulty to 20.

Keeps you on your toes

If you’re a fan of the FNAF universe, Five Nights at Candy's custom night is worth your time—though the difference between this app and the main FNAF games is the night vision system as well as the addition of a third door in the office. It features new animatronics, too, such as Candy, Chester, and Rat. However, this game is not meant for players who are easily frightened of jumpscares.
